Mr. Alan Kan
Managing Director

Mr. Kan has more than 30 years of solid experience in the electronic field from radio repairer, QA Engineer, TV Studio Engineer, Purchasing Manager to the Sales and Marketing Director. He held senior positions in Flextronics and Centralab before founding his own company Clever Motion Industries Limited in 1987 and Clever Motion Technology Limited in 2000.

Mr. Kan obtained his Final Certificate from the Hong Kong Polytechnic and the City & Guilds Full Technological Certificate in Telecommunication in 1974. He had further studied and obtained a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of East Asia in Macao in 1987. He is a member of the Society of Engineers and a registered Professional Engineer in the United Kingdom.

He is responsible for leading the management team in developing business strategies, and meeting the company's mission and objectives.

Chu Kim Ching
Chief Technical Director

Mr. Chu received his territory education at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and obtained Bachelor Degree in Electronic Engineering in 1996. Then, he further his research in the fields of artificial intelligent and digital signal processing. He received a Master Degree of Philosophy in 1998.

He was employed as analyst programmer/system analyst in Unitech Computer Systems Limited from May 1999 to July 2001. In this company, he worked in a software team to develop intelligent cache server and intelligent DNS server. He was the project in-charged of development of the intelligent DNS server and reporting engines for the above servers.

He then joined Culturecom Group (0343) subsidiary Chinese 2000 Technology Limited from July 2001 to December, 2002 as Systems Analyst. He led a software team to develop web based trading system and a multi-tier e-book POS system. He also worked as a consultant for another Culturecom Group subsidiary Viagold Direct Network Limited on a project of system migration and another project of Billing and Metering Integrity Scheme (BMIS) for the Office of the Telecommunications Authority (OFTA).

Mr. Michael Ng
Senior Consultant

Mr. Ng is the senior consultant specializing in procurement, green procurement compliance and business process re-engineering. Prior to his appointment, he was a procurement professional with 19 years of solid field experience in both petroleum and electronics industries. His strong expertise includes strategic sourcing, supply chain management and compliance of ISO standards.

From 1985 to 1991, he joined Flextronics Purchasing (H.K.) Ltd as the Purchasing Manager. He managed a team of twenty people and procured a total of US$50 million of electronic and mechanical components annually.

Mr. Ng served as the Asia Pacific Sourcing Specialist on information and telecommunication services at ExxonMobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd and as the Asia Pacific Purchasing Specialist on packaging materials, corporate services and service station equipment at Mobil Asia Pacific Pte Ltd from 1992 to 2004.

He obtained B.Sc.(Eng.) degree from the University of Hong Kong in 1983 and M.B.A. degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1991. Mr. Ng possesses strong PC software knowledge and user experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems like SAP.

Mr. William Tong
Technical Adviser

Mr. Tong holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Windsor, Canada in 1981, and obtained his Master's degree in Computer Science at the Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 1983.

Mr. Tong joins CMT with 18 years of knowledge and experience in managing large-scale, high-tech systems engineering in Fortune 100 and start-up companies. Mr. Tong was the Chief Technology Officer and VP Engineering at eTrons Systems, a B2B e-procurement solution provider. Prior to that, Mr. Tong was Vice President of Engineering and Operations of Intellify, Inc. responsible for the development and operation of their Java-based supply chain management services. Before that, Mr. Tong was the Vice President of Strategic Development of Associates First Capital, currently part of Citicorp, managing the International e-commerce technology and renovating the consumer technology for over a thousand branch offices in North America.

Mr. Tong was credited for launching one of the largest Java development projects in the financial industry in 1996 and succeeded in enhancing the business revenues in millions of dollars with the web-based applications.

In addition, Mr. Tong held various senior management positions in Sprint, Ernst & Young, and GM/EDS. At Sprint, Mr. Tong was instrumental in formulating and executing the strategic plan to modernize the information technology infrastructure to gain competitive edge. He was the release manager of a widely accepted information engineering product, Navigator Systems Series, at Ernst & Young. He oversaw the development of a full life cycle of this system and authored the knowledge base of the project management methodology. Furthermore, he coordinated the national support of CASE technology and applied organization change management principles to projects and office administration at Ernst & Young.

In CMT, Mr. Tong is responsible for software architectural design and project management.

Mr. Joseph Yu
Marketing Communications Director / Web Consultant

Mr. Joseph Yu has more than 18 years in corporate and marketing communications in the hi-tech industry. He served with Digital Equipment Corporation for over 10 years, four of which were with Digital Equipment Asia Limited. He was Regional Marketing Communications Manager in which he planned and oversaw marketing and employee communications programs in 9 Asian countries, and launched the region's first corporate advertising campaign. He later joined Digital Equipment of Canada Ltd. and held the Sales and Employee Communications Manager position, with special responsibilities in printed media, electronic communication and customer database.

Also Mr. Yu had brief stints with L.A. Times and United Press International (UPI) as a reporter/researcher. Mr. Yu worked extensively in conventional and electronic publishing, graphics and web design, image processing and CAD.

Mr. Yu has worked extensively as a web consultant to start-up companies, university alumni association, SMEs and community associations. He is a communicator, a landscape designer, a photographer, a writer and a graphic designer. He is a professional member of the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and an 'Approved Member' of Landscape Ontario.

Mr. Yu received his MA in Communications from the Stanford University.

At CMT, Mr. Yu is leading the company's web site design and content development, communications with the media and customers, marketing communication activities, as well as programs for web marketing solutions and print/electronic publishing for SMEs.

Mr. LK Wong
Director of Business Development, ASEAN

Mr. LK Wong has over 17 years of hands on experience in the electronics manufacture servicing industry. Prior to joining CMT, Mr. Wong held the positions of General Manager at Flextronics International and ITG in various countries. In his sixteen years of service at Flextronics, he helped the company in setting up the Hong Kong operations, a plant in Shekou and an industrial park in Zhuhai China. He was the General Manager of Flextronics Singapore in 1996 and General Manager of Flextronics Zhuhai since 1997. In Aug 2000 Mr. Wong joined the eTrons Systems Inc, a USA company providing e-solutions and B2B portals for EMS industry in handling the procurement of electronic components. Mr. Wong helped setting up eTrons Systems (Singapore) Pte Ltd and act as the Managing Director for the Asian Region. He himself also act as a consultant in the eTrons Systems in providing professional consultancy service to the EMS companies.

Prior to serving the EMS industry, Mr. Wong worked five years with the National Semiconductor (HK) Ltd as a Senior Industrial Engineer.

Mr. Wong received his Mechanical Engineering Diploma from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and a Certificate in Business Management from the University of Leicester.
